Guest Services & Bookstore Coordinator

Job Responsibilities

1. Lead and oversee the execution of the Guest Services and Bookstore teams both behind the scenes and on weekends to ensure a warm, welcoming environment for our church family.

2. Create and maintain a welcoming and joyful environment at each church-wide experience to create a “Kingdom Quality” Guest Service experience from street to seat.

3. Recruit, train, support, and coach volunteers, assisting them to reach their full leadership potential in order to increase the reach within the Guest Services and Bookstore ministries.

4. Lead, oversee, and work alongside volunteer teams to manage orders, track inventory, manage budgets, and maintain sufficient supply levels for Guest Services and the Bookstore ministries. This includes regular reconciliation of cash drawers related to bookstore sales.

5. Schedule and organize volunteer teams for multiple ongoing church services and events.

6. If necessary, coordinate with local companies to transport church attendees to and from church campus (i.e. Shuttles).

7. Work with fellow individuals and teams for unity, efficiency, and overall successful ministry.

Preferred Skills and Experience

1. Prior experience in Customer Service, Hospitality, or a related field.

2. Prior experience managing a large budget for a company or organization.

3. Can demonstrate critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

4. Proactive and self-motivated to complete tasks and projects ahead of time.

A Guest Services Coordinator is responsible for ensuring a warm and welcoming environment for visitors and church members, often handling initial contact, event support, and oversight of the overall guest experience. They also communicate with visitors and contribute to the overall smooth “initial experience” of the church.
